Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection (MWCSP) – Department of Social Welfare (DSW) Social Protection portal (“the portal”). Please read them before using the service.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using this portal – including the screening checklist, application forms, and query and feedback channels – you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. About the service

The portal allows members of the public to:

• Complete a screening checklist to understand which programmes they may be eligible for.
• Apply online for DSW social protection programmes.
• Submit a query, feedback or complaint.
• Find general information and answers to frequently asked questions.

3. Who can use the portal

The portal is intended for applicants seeking assistance for themselves or, as a caregiver or third party, on behalf of someone else. Eligibility for any programme is determined separately under the relevant programme rules.

4. Providing accurate information

You are responsible for ensuring the information you provide is true, complete and up to date. Providing false or misleading information may result in your application being rejected, assistance being withdrawn, and recovery of any payments made, in addition to any other action available under Fijian law.

5. Screening results are indicative only

The screening checklist provides a preliminary, indicative result based on the answers you give. It is not a guarantee of enrolment. All applications remain subject to the Department’s eligibility requirements, verification and assessment process.

6. Your reference number

When you start an application you may be given a reference number. Please keep it safe – it is used to identify and track your application, and you may be asked for it when you contact us.

7. Acceptable use

• Do not impersonate another person or submit an application without authority to do so.
• Do not upload harmful files or content, or anything you do not have the right to share.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, damage or gain unauthorised access to the portal or its data.

8. Supporting documents

By uploading documents you confirm that they are genuine and that you are entitled to submit them in support of your application.

9. Availability of the service

We aim to keep the portal available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control.

10. Privacy

Your use of the portal is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle the information you provide.

11. Intellectual property

The content, branding and design of this portal are owned by or licensed to the Government of Fiji and may not be reproduced without permission, except as needed to use the service.

12. Limitation of liability

The portal is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent permitted by law, MWCSP and DSW are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the portal.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The revised terms take effect when published on this page.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Fiji.
